Patents Confirmed

All-PatentsMitchells has made further inroads towards being recognized as a High Technology Company. Earlier in the year Mitchells obtained its first patent for a chain design feature which is applied to its own range of Chain Conveyors. Since then, another eight patents have been granted for various unique attributes used on Mitchells’ Standard Range of equipment.

The patents cover a broad range of innovative features which are listed here:

  • Side inlet flap to enhance flow control in Ultramax Conveyors
  • Drop door design with support bars eliminating product carryover in Ultramax Conveyors
  • Chain and alternative drop door design permitting better cleanout in Ultramax Conveyors
  • Slide in lagging for easy replacement of lagging in Bucket Elevators
  • Modified head design to improve material flow in Bucket Elevators, giving increased capacity from smaller elevators
  • Basket style instead of traditional flaps to eliminate contamination in Diverters.
  • Door positioning adjustment to enhance flow through Slide Gates
  • Thinner chain backing plate allowing easier maintenance and decreased chain weight, thus reducing power requirements for chain conveyors
  • Internal plate preventing discharge through undesired channels thus eliminating product contamination and wastage in Distributors

These patents verify the innovation and ingenuity being churned out by the Mitchells engineering team. Their exciting new designs are one of the many reasons Mitchells Equipment remains a competitive force in the bulk material handling industry.
