Chinese New Year Party 2013

The 2013 Mitchells’ Chinese New Year Party went off with a bang this week… and also provided some exciting surprises.

This year’s party was held at the Yanlong Hotel in Yanjiao, Hebei. Nearly 250 staff, friends and family attended the dinner, along with a number of distinguished guests, including a long list of representatives from Mitchells’ highly valued suppliers and customers such as Baosheng Steel, SKF, SEW and more.

The evening was full of laughs, as Mitchells’ staff, family and friends all took to the stage to perform songs and dances together. Even the younger members of the audience were invited up to participate in the game “Toilet Paper Mummy”.

CEO and Executive Director Mic Mittasch’s New Year’s Message revisited the successes of the past year, and encouraged everyone to embrace the challenges that would come with the Year of the Snake. He also graciously thanked the suppliers and customers who had taken the time to attend the event, and made special mention of the past staff who were present, stating their continued attendance reinforced and underlined the presence of a welcoming “Mitchells’ family”.

The Lucky Prize Draw was the highlight of the night, with over 70 prizes, including a bicycle, iPad and bottles of Wuliangye Premium White Liquor up for grabs. In a surprise twist, halfway through the draw CEO Mic Mittasch announced there would be an additional, very special, Grand Prize… A ten night, all expenses paid trip for the winner and their family to Australia! The lucky winner of this holiday, Ms Qu, had this to say about her amazing win, “I’m so happy, so excited, so excited! This is really a surprise! My family and I are very pleased. I want to thank my boss for giving us this opportunity to tour Australia. I wish the CEO Mic, and all my colleagues and their families a new year of good health and good luck.”

This year, Chinese New Year falls on the 10th February. With many of the staff preparing to head home for the holiday, Mitchells Equipment wishes all its staff and extended business family a safe and happy Chinese New Year break. Chun Jie Kuai Le!
