Mitchells Equipment CEO And Owner Mic Mittasch Wins 2011 Austrade Australia China Alumni Award For Entrepreneurship

Mitchells CEO and Owner, Mic Mittasch has been awarded the 2011 Austrade Australia China Alumni Award for Entrepreneurship.

The Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA) is an organisation that aims to promote Australian education through the success of overseas alumni, while also supporting those alumni in China through business and social networking.

This was the third time the annual awards had been held, and there were over 100 highly qualified applicants spread across nine award categories. Finalists were chosen by an independent panel of judges, with the award ceremony then held in Beijing at the Marriott Hotel.

This year’s award finalists boasted a prestigious list of both local and expatriate business people who had graduated in Australia and are now involved in a wide range of industries throughout China. Mitchells CEO and Owner Mic Mittasch won the award for the Entrepreneurship category.

Since becoming the owner and Executive Director of Mitchells Equipment (Hebei), Mic has expanded and revitalised Mitchells from a relatively small manufacturing workshop under its previous parent company (Mitchell Mill Systems Canada), to a stand-alone company that exports equipment globally.

In recent years, Mitchells has undergone expansion in many aspects of the company, with marked increases in staff, factory space and revenue. Mitchells is now expanding into new markets in Russia, Eastern Europe and South America.

Mitchells has CE and ATEX certifications for a range of equipment for use in the European Community, and now has conveying systems installed in 27 countries on six continents.
