Mic Mittasch Nominated As A Finalist Of ‘Austrade Australian Alumni Award to Entrepreneurship’

Mr. Mic Mittasch, the Mitchells’ Executive Director has been nominated as a finalist in Australia China Alumni Association in the category of ‘Austrade Australian Alumni Award to Entrepreneurship’, which will be held in Le Royal Meridien Shanghai hotel on July 10, 2010.

Mic graduated in 1991 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology has lived and worked in China for over 9 years. Mic spent 15 years working with Cargill Inc. in Australia and China and was involved in 3 Greenfield projects from the conceptual design through to operation. In June 2006 Mic along with 2 partners became the owners of the Mitchells Group of companies of which Mic is the C.E.O and works fulltime at the China manufacturing facility, which employs over 120 people.

The 2010 Alumni Awards were established in 2009 by the Australia China Alumni Association, and is a high-profile initiative recognizing the wide-ranging achievements of graduates of Australian universities that are based in China, both local and expatriate. Finalists come from all walks of life, and represent a diverse range of industries, backgrounds, nationalities and achievements. What they all have in common is an Australian education and their stories are a testimony to how studying in Australia has helped them to succeed in their field.
