Cargill And Mitchells – Making Milestones

A plug screw conveyor, a series of en masse conveyors and an extractor discharge conveyor went out to Cargill in Yangjiang this month. The old soybean crushing plant in Yangjiang has been revised and upgraded a few times since Cargill took over in 2006, and this pattern looks set to continue through 2009 and beyond.

While most of the equipment is pretty standard, Mitchells will set a new personal record with the extractor discharge conveyor as it will have the largest Mitchells-made capacity yet. The vapour tight extractor discharge conveyor will usually operate at just over 160MT/hr, however the 37.6m beast could potentially meet capacities exceeding 200MT/hr. We look forward to results towards the end of May when installation is expected to begin.
